Awards season kicked off with Ricky Gervais hosting the 77th Golden Globe Awards for the fifth time. Held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on Jan. 5, the show honored the best in television and film, but this was one of the first years in which streaming dominated both categories. Case in point: Netflix’s motion pictures — “The Irishman”, “The Two Popes” and “Marriage Story” — received several nominations.
With such a dynamic group of nominees, the red carpet pre-show did not disappoint. Celebrity couples shared cute, romantic moments as they entered the venue. Here were the ones that stood out.
