There’s grocery shopping — and then there’s grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s (known by many as TJ’s or just TJ). The nationwide retailer of neighborhood stores is known for interesting products you simply can’t find anywhere else, many of which become family favorites.
If you want to jazz up your pantry or need a little inspiration for your next meal, here are the 60 best Trader Joe’s products to add to your grocery list.
Mandarin Orange Chicken
/granite-web-prod/18/a0/18a0e108eca445308c7bcbf736647337.jpeg)
The first mention has to go to TJ’s frozen Chinese-inspired entrée, Mandarin Orange Chicken. It was voted favorite product overall in the company’s 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards again (it’s been No. 1 as long as anybody can remember).
It was also voted favorite entrée, beating the likes of Joe's Diner Mac 'n Cheese, Chicken Tikka Masala and Cauliflower Gnocchi to take the top spot.
Everything Croissant Rolls
/granite-web-prod/69/27/692718d5fac24374ae375fb37c59c48f.jpeg)
Breakfast fans couldn’t believe their luck when Trader Joe’s started selling croissant rolls covered in their Everything But The Bagel Seasoning Blend (more on that later).
Of course, these flaky, buttery breaded beauties taste great at any time of the day.
Chocolate Peppermint Loaf & Baking Mix
/granite-web-prod/3b/c6/3bc6544a8a8e4e108220767ea55a0c3a.jpeg)
A TJ favorite since 2019, the Chocolate Peppermint Loaf & Baking Mix makes your dreams of chocolate peppermint cake a reality.
According to Trader Joe’s, it “bakes up rich, moist and deeply chocolatey, with just the right amount of mint flavor to make your taste buds tingle.”
Creamy Cauliflower Jalapeño Dip
/granite-web-prod/e1/76/e1762d73386a4060811c911aba4ce75d.jpeg)
The perfect accompaniment to your family movie night, the Creamy Cauliflower Jalapeño Dip is slightly cheesy, with a hint of jalapenño peppers.
A Florida-based TJ fan recommends pairing it with cut and peeled carrots, spreading a dollop on a baked potato or going “cauliflower crazy” by dipping raw cauliflower florets or sliced cauliflower pizza crust into this beloved dip.
Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend
/granite-web-prod/f4/d8/f4d856ea83014595a57a2be2784de482.jpeg)
A staple in most spice cabinets of TJ regulars, the Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend is a mixture of dried garlic flakes, dried onion flakes, sesame seeds, poppy seeds and flaked sea salt.
It was runner-up in the 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards — which is no surprise, as it makes just about everything taste better, from avocado toast to popcorn.
Organic Buffalo Style Hummus
/granite-web-prod/ea/9c/ea9c8b4f89174cf486e9123f64ef6598.jpeg)
Snacking on veggies is way more fun when you can dip them in TJ’s Organic Buffalo Style Hummus.
The company says it “starts with a base of exceptionally smooth and creamy hummus, and then turns up the heat with a spike of spicy hot sauce flavor.”
Organic Watermelon Fruit Spread
/granite-web-prod/e3/ca/e3ca07bfeef04e989d220ae0c8c5755f.jpeg)
“Sweet, summery and refreshing as the melon itself” is how TJ’s describes its Organic Watermelon Fruit Spread.
Some folks spread it on a toasted brioche bun, others add it as an ice cream topping, and some probably just eat it with a spoon straight out of the jar.
Philly Cheesesteak Bao Buns
/granite-web-prod/73/7c/737c2d6990754d17bd94eeba45c6babb.jpeg)
Trader Joe’s promises “the essence of a Philly Cheesesteak delivered inside fluffy bao buns,” and according to regulars, the Philly Cheesesteak Bao Buns deliver on all counts.
A top tip from Los Angeles TJ fan @traderjoesobsessed: “If you are microwaving, use this tip my mother taught me: Get a thick paper towel and wet it ... place it on top of the buns before microwaving, so the bun is softer.”
Spinach and Artichoke Dip
/granite-web-prod/ef/23/ef23e3deaa5441dbaec51a3294c60d28.jpeg)
TJ’s has so many dips, it would be a crime not to mention another one. Their Spinach and Artichoke Dip is actually frozen but is easy to prepare by microwaving and stirring.
It’s one of the store’s most popular appetizers, and Freezer Meal Frenzy confirms that it “tastes wonderful,” adding, “neither the artichoke nor the spinach overwhelms the flavor (as is so often the case with imbalanced dips), yet each does provide its distinct properties. The dip is soft and creamy, with just a little bit of swiss and parmesan cheese thrown into the mix to give it some form.”
Pumpkin Butter
/granite-web-prod/b1/c9/b1c96111d6be4ba58d784e0c750fffc6.jpeg)
Is it even fall without Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter? Despite the name, it contains no butter at all but is instead made with pumpkin, sugar, honey, lemon juice and fall spices.
The result is a rich spread that’s begging to be added to oatmeal, French toast, bagels, pasta and whatever else you can think of.
Jicama Wraps
/granite-web-prod/a6/a1/a6a18ed2e63e4ac095534a0e06e3929c.jpeg)
If you’ve never heard of jicama, it’s a starchy root vegetable. According to EatingWell, it’s similar to a potato or turnip but with the crunch of an apple of water chestnut.
It’s also packed with goodness (including vitamin C, folate and antioxidants), and Trader Joe’s has transformed it into the perfect snack — wraps that partner perfectly with salads, quesadillas and tons of other tasty treats.
Peanut Butter Blondies
/granite-web-prod/c2/a8/c2a8f1cd2a7c4682bd3c140d61fa210d.jpeg)

There are 12 blondie bites in each pack, so you might want to stock up while you’re there.
Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips
/granite-web-prod/14/18/1418edc025cd4f648855dc0417df40e6.jpeg)
Not all tortilla chips are equal, and Trader Joe’s alone sells numerous varieties. One of the best, according to fans, are the Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips.
According to Cheapism, these are flaky, light and “great-tasting,” whether enjoyed on their own or with a generous scoop of salsa on top.
Green Goddess Dip
/granite-web-prod/fc/b7/fcb7e011c30446718b4f55e1de8dcc07.jpeg)

Beyond that, they taste great as part of Trader Joe’s Turmeric Ginger Coconut Beverage — an elixir that should be in everyone’s fridge.

That’s basically everything you need to create tacos any Mexican chef would be proud of.

/granite-web-prod/21/05/2105e3736bb34d4582b036dceccc15b8.jpeg)
TJ’s Hold the Cone! novelty ice cream treats were launched several years ago, and in 2017, they got an update. The new version has crispier cones with better quality ice cream and a superior chocolate coating.
Available in vanilla, chocolate, pumpkin and peppermint (depending on the season), there’s no going back once you’ve tried them.
Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings
/granite-web-prod/20/0f/200fde465e3a4209a47bb75fdeeb511a.jpeg)
Another freezer fave from TJ’s, the Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings are inspired by the original soup dumplings (xiao long bao) from China’s Jiangsu province.
They get an “enthusiastic yes” from Becoming Betty, who describes the filling as “a delicious blend of pork with a nice bite of ginger.”
Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bars
/granite-web-prod/b6/c0/b6c0a18cabe64c6980bef0d52da20ca5.jpeg)
According to Trader Joe’s, people in Ancient Rome crushed ice then blended it with fresh fruit and spices for a cool, refreshing treat.
Fast-forward to 2017, and TJ’s launched its Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bars, aka “icy treats made with adults in mind.”
Sparkling Black Tea With Peach Juice Beverage
/granite-web-prod/7a/39/7a39a452a79e483487ca6e293fe8ac89.jpeg)
If you’re looking for a unique tea beverage, TJ’s Sparkling Black Tea With Peach Juice Beverage packs a flavorsome punch.
It was voted the best beverage in the 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards, and TJ’s suggests pairing it with bourbon for a cooling sweet tea cocktail.
Gluten Free Panettone
/granite-web-prod/21/78/2178ecf7e8074cd3b162e7c6a2df72a3.jpeg)
Thanks to TJ’s, gluten-intolerant and celiac folks can enjoy the pleasure of panettone along with everyone else.
Their gluten-free version is made with rice starch, cornstarch, psyllium husk and Xanthan gum instead of flour. And it’s packed with orange peel and raisins for a fruity boost.
Mac and Cheese Bites
/granite-web-prod/4a/fe/4afed599eddb407ab35f0c85063b7ab3.jpeg)
They went AWOL for a short time (due to a supplier issue), but the famous Mac and Cheese Bites are back and being snapped up by cheese lovers.
That’s because these babies contain no less than seven different cheeses: cheddar, havarti, Swiss, gouda, cream cheese, Monterey jack and pecorino romano.
Tiramisu Torte
/granite-web-prod/6e/26/6e2645968b134ab9bede12c373ccf9a3.jpeg)
Tiramisu isn’t the quickest dessert to whip up, but Trader Joe’s does the hard work for us.
The frozen Tiramisu Torte, which serves up to eight people — if you’re willing to share it — simply needs to be popped into the fridge for a couple of hours.
Cinnamon Bun Spread
/granite-web-prod/68/16/6816716576b64aa586d012de9c6a1da2.jpeg)
TJ’s Cinnamon Bun Spread, made with melted butter, a special blend of cinnamon, vanilla extract and other spices, real cream and honey, has all the best parts of a cinnamon bun.
It’s a no-brainer on a bagel or French toast, or you could take TJ’s advice and heat it up in the microwave for 20 seconds then drizzle it over TJ’s French Vanilla Ice Cream, pancakes made with TJ’s Pumpkin Pancake Mix or TJ’s Cinnamon Toscano Cheese. (Are you drooling yet?)
Mini Cornbread Biscotti
/granite-web-prod/00/bf/00bf3fe0072447c59ec897d990c2785e.jpeg)
The beauty of the Mini Cornbread Biscotti is that it’s not too sweet, so it works well with sweet and savory dishes.
Instagram user @traderjoesfoodreviews suggests dunking it in apple cider or maple lattes or pairing it with chili or tomato soup.
Unexpected Cheddar Cheese
/granite-web-prod/ff/39/ff39f7a8ba694733b69af58a98eb7583.jpeg)
Another major crowd-pleaser is Unexpected Cheese, which was voted favorite cheese at the 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards (for the umpteenth year running). It was also a runner-up in the best overall product category and has been the top-rated cheese for Bon Appetit readers.
According to Instagram user @traderjoesgeek, it’s a “match made in heaven” with black truffle pasta.
Milk & Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn
/granite-web-prod/b4/0f/b40fc4d1d065433788952d9cccd0dd13.jpeg)
If you’re bored of regular popcorn, Milk & Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn will set the movie snack bar high again. The perfect salty-sweet combo, the whole family will be fighting over it.
And then there’s the super-cute packaging; with the flowers and teddy bear, it’s giving Refinery 29 “total spring vibes.”
Broccoli and Kale Pizza Crust
/granite-web-prod/c7/e3/c7e39e49210d4e27888a83b0c5b2b615.jpeg)
According to PopSugar, TJ’s Broccoli and Kale Pizza Crust is even better than the hugely popular Cauliflower Crust.
Top it off with marinara sauce or pesto and, of course, the cheese and veggies of your choice, and you’ve got a delicious, healthy, bespoke pizza.
Triple Ginger Snaps
/granite-web-prod/d1/21/d1212f36a69149cdafccdcc5b85bbb11.jpeg)
TJ customers love the Triple Ginger Snaps, crunchy cookies you might just be able to keep away from the kids.
"After the initial crunch, the cookie's inner chewiness melts in your mouth as you bite into the hot, tangy crystallized bits" of ginger, Charisma Madarang wrote for Foodbeast.
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
/granite-web-prod/14/02/140271284bef40499c7b6fb024ea9496.jpeg)
Voted favorite sweet treat and a runner-up in the best overall product category in the 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards, TJ’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups are hard to resist.
According to peanut butter cup aficionados, these knock their competitors out of the water.
Salted Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets
/granite-web-prod/b9/6c/b96c2a67c9fa40f08d70b7ba56948770.jpeg)
A salty snack that’s a favorite of customers and crew alike, the Salted Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets took the favorite snack title at the 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards.
There’s an unsalted version available, too, without the coarse salt crust but still filled with real peanut butter.
Dark Chocolate Orange Sticks
/granite-web-prod/57/09/5709b75006014e63be060976452f3d49.jpeg)
TJ’s Dark Chocolate Orange Sticks are “short, chubby ‘sticks’ of orange-flavored jelly smothered in rich, dark chocolate.”
If that doesn’t sell them to you, it’s important to know they pack a citrus punch that’s all natural. Yep, this sweet treat has no artificial flavors.
Cornbread Bites With Pepper Jack Cheese and Serrano Chile Peppers
/granite-web-prod/6f/fe/6ffe13f09e744a84bd1a91243b42acfb.jpeg)
If anyone knows how to do exciting stuff with cornbread, it’s Trader Joe’s. The outer shell is cornbread, but the inside provides a perfect pairing of pepper jack cheese and Serrano Chile peppers.
According to @traderjoesfoodreviews, these bites have “a mild spice and a wonderful cheese pull when you break them open!”
Cold Brew Concentrate
/granite-web-prod/c4/1d/c41d8276dcf248dc9360c4d15ce7a483.jpeg)
Runner-up in the favorite beverage category at the 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards is the Cold Brew Concentrate. “I will. never. go. to a coffee shop. again,” declared @traderjoesseasons.
Tip for those who like their coffee to pack a serious punch: If you don’t dilute it, it passes for espresso.
Maple Butter
/granite-web-prod/63/6b/636b2570337e48c0af7d722d0db10630.jpeg)
Who needs nut butter when you have Trader Joe’s Maple Butter? It consists of only one ingredient — maple syrup — so is basically maple candy before it gets hard.
“I absolutely loved using this on pancakes and pumpkin French toast in the morning,” wrote @traderjoesfoodreviews.
Sesame Sticks
/granite-web-prod/c1/72/c1721a9a112048488f322315716f7b75.jpeg)
These sesame sticks are the perfect blend of salty and crunchy and make a great addition to soups, salads or eating right out of the bag.
They are straight-up addictive, though, so watch out!
Cold Brew Coffee & Boba Coconut Non-Dairy Dessert
/granite-web-prod/f8/bb/f8bb7660730d490485172c88cd2da1ae.jpeg)
As if the cold brew concentrate wasn't enough, this cold brew coffee and boba coconut frozen dessert is the definition of Trader Joe's taking care of vegan customers and those with dairy allergies.
The creamy treat can be found in the frozen section for less than $5. Grab a spoon!
Popcorn in a Pickle
/granite-web-prod/81/ef/81ef4ac6ea5143419dde524e686f354e.jpeg)
Snack lovers can rejoice with this tangy treat that combines the best of pickles and popcorn.
The dill flavor is so good that you might as well just pour a whole bowlful of this stuff.
Shawarma Chicken Thighs
/granite-web-prod/f3/6c/f36c8dfbeec84f8fa2bf4aa71c0fbf7b.jpeg)
Sometimes, you don't have time to marinate your own meat, and luckily, TJ's already has you covered. It offers a variety of different marinated meats, but the Shawarma Chicken Thighs are some of the most flavor-filled.
Check out this recipe for the shawarma chicken and rice soup in the picture.
Organic Blood Orange Rooibos Herbal Tea Blend
/granite-web-prod/63/35/6335efcb530e4dfca37136ae8ca8005b.jpeg)
Trader Joe's has an amazing tea selection, perfect for cold weather or to make a part of your bedtime routine.
The organic blood orange flavor is one of the best in addition to another one we recommend — the ginger turmeric.
Dark Chocolate Drizzled Plantain Chips
/granite-web-prod/21/2e/212e8e4fe14144d384c5a685766ae8f9.jpeg)
TJ's brings a taste of the Caribbean to customers in its Dark Chocolate Drizzled Plantain Chips.
We dare you to eat just one.
Organic Almond Butter
/granite-web-prod/67/d2/67d215ffd90741caa49bd39c56d57a3d.jpeg)
Yes, almond butter is all the rage, so, of course, Trader Joe's had to jump on the bandwagon.
The Organic Creamy Almond Butter is delicious for marinades as well as slathered on a piece of toast or fruit.
Key Lime Pie
/granite-web-prod/92/a2/92a2068fa1e943188f3d5c34d8e60bbe.jpeg)
Trader Joe's has some amazing premade desserts in its frozen section.
Yes, there's the previously mentioned Tiramisu Torte, but there's also a Key Lime Pie that tastes straight out of Florida — perfect for dessert or breakfast or a midnight snack. No judgment here!
Toscano Cheese With Black Pepper
/granite-web-prod/26/b3/26b3b50d947542c2b17f99a1fd9ee683.jpeg)
No cheese plate would be complete without TJ's Toscano Cheese With Black Pepper.
It's a delicious, creamy cheese with a hint of pepper for the ultimate savory snack.
Grainless Cassava & Coconut Tortilla Chips
/granite-web-prod/df/4c/df4c3e93749548938b9eb036382fbf3c.jpeg)
Yes, the organic blue tortilla chips already made this list, but have you tried these grainless tortilla chips?
The perfect hint of coconut makes them oh so delicious.
Red Chili Scalloped Crackers
/granite-web-prod/cb/82/cb82e458fe72420d932716ba534bf7a4.jpeg)
These spicy, salty red chili crackers are good enough to eat alone, but grab some cheese and salami, and they're the ultimate crowd-pleaser.
Just make sure to buy two boxes because they go fast.
Ricotta & Lemon Zest Ravioli
/granite-web-prod/f6/10/f610980fcbc3475ba815a26568f08dce.jpeg)
These premade ravioli are as easy as boiling water for a total of five minutes.
Top the pasta dish with some olive oil and parmesan, and you're good to go.
Honey Wheat Pretzel Sticks
/granite-web-prod/af/4c/af4c9942fe7747ad866c0c6247663df1.jpeg)
The perfect on-the-go snack, TJ's Honey Wheat Pretzel Sticks have a hint of sweetness for those customers who can't get enough of a sweet-and-salty combo.
The crunch factor on these makes them perfect for dipping, too.
Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers
/granite-web-prod/7f/fc/7ffc8aaf47864054b507eab5f8db7111.jpeg)
TJ's take on Swedish fish was already a hit, but the super sour version took it to the next level.
Customers will get to choose from red berry, huckleberry, orange and strawberry flavors, coated in a deliciously sour sugar that packs quite a punch.
Organic Acai Bowl
/granite-web-prod/32/3f/323f58fcef534fd8bcfb860b127778a3.jpeg)
The acai trend is all the rage, and these bowls in TJ's frozen aisle make it super easy to bring home.
At only $3.99, that's a steal compared to what the whole foods store down the street might charge you.
Bean and Cheese Burritos
/granite-web-prod/b6/b1/b6b140e61fba4d4da0f2e3bc70bdbd73.jpeg)
Bean and cheese burritos may not be the healthiest meal option, but these Trader Joe's burritos have an impressive 29 grams of protein. When you need a quick, hearty meal after a workout, it's hard to say no to something this tasty.
A flour tortilla is packed with black beans and smothered in warm, melty jack cheese. Nothing more, nothing less. It's plain, simple and perfect, and we highly recommend buying more than one at a time.
Kids love them too.
Grilled Chicken Asada
/granite-web-prod/7b/cc/7bcc7637366a4b948b2529ad21bbf65c.jpeg)
During your next Trader Joe's trip, grilled chicken asada is a must. The picture doesn't do it justice.
It's a grilled chicken breast topped with roasted onions, bell peppers and cajun seasoning. It's low in fat, low calorie and has tons of protein. It's already cooked, so just toss it in the microwave and have dinner on the table in minutes.
Eat it all on its own or cut it up and add it to a browned tortilla with scrambled eggs, cheese and avocado for a hearty breakfast quesadilla.
Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese
/granite-web-prod/b5/60/b560ee5cf99c468293fb2af3c4d9565c.jpeg)
Trader Joe's regular mac is already wonderful. If you love that and you're a fan of fall flavors, you have to try their butternut squash mac and cheese.
The addition of gouda and parmesan elevates the flavor profile, and the slightly sweet, nutty flavor of the squash gives the dish an extra dose of warmth.
It's one of our favorite comfort food staples of autumn.
Hand Twisted Cinnamon Sugar Bread
/granite-web-prod/00/cc/00cccfbd8bf245478644c27b3ef76dcf.jpeg)
We don't really care how this cinnamon sugar bread was twisted. The twisted part is how good it is. Trader Joe's doesn't skimp on cinnamon and sugar. This isn't a loaf of bread with a tiny ribbon of cinnamon filling here and there.
No. This is the real deal. Sweet, cinnamony goodness evenly dispersed throughout flaky, pastry-like dough.
For a real treat, try making French toast with it.
Chocolate Lava Cake
/granite-web-prod/8c/1a/8c1abfad18144e7cab01476254c917d2.jpeg)
Sure, you could make dessert, but why bother when Trader Joe's desserts are so good? Anyone who adores chocolate needs to give this chocolate lava cake a go. It's dense and rich, with a gooey, molten center and a powerful, not-too-sweet, dark chocolate flavor.
It heats up in minutes, and it pairs amazingly well with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of tart raspberry sauce. We've tried several other chocolate lava cakes, and this one easily rivals many of the lava cakes served in restaurants.
Green Tea Mochi
/granite-web-prod/8f/5b/8f5b966e0b0046049ce1489fab293e42.jpeg)
True mochi fans will protest that mochi doesn't always have ice cream in it, and they're welcome to go get "real" mochi elsewhere. To everyone else, go to Trader Joe's and relish their line of mochi ice cream treats. Each treat is made with a soft shell made of sweetened rice filled with creamy ice cream.
The gummy outside is handy for summer, keeping the melty ice cream contained. It's also dusted with powdered sugar so it's not too sticky. There are several flavors available, including coffee, strawberry, chocolate peanut butter and, our personal favorite, green tea.
They're all good, but the green tea flavor is the most refreshing.
Sweet Corn, Burrata and Basil Ravioli
/granite-web-prod/2b/b6/2bb60586148a42ac87336a486745343f.jpeg)
Trader Joe's makes a number of delicious pasta dishes, and they're particularly good at coming up with unique ravioli ideas. Their pumpkin ravioli is a seasonal favorite, but the sweet corn, burrata and basil ravioli is just as good.
Instead of serving it with marinara sauce, just toss it in olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Ube Purple Yam Ice Cream
/granite-web-prod/43/a8/43a81d09cf6d4af096dff79f62ba2b27.jpeg)
Yams are orange except when they're purple. Ube, better known as the purple yam, is a tuberous root vegetable native to the Philippines. It's used in many dishes there, but it's relatively new in the States, and people have been losing their minds over its vibrant, purple hue.
Trader Joe's picked up the trend with their new ube-flavored ice cream and ube-flavored mochi, and they're both worth trying. Imagine sweet potato pie, only frozen and purple.
It's good. Just trust us on this one.
Sparkling Watermelon Juice
/granite-web-prod/b1/c7/b1c782feb59a477d8da87b7da9b3f781.jpeg)
Hot weather leaves everyone thirsty and dying for something cold and refreshing.
Iced tea is nice and all, but it has too much caffeine for kids. Sparkling water isn't bad either, but there's only so much of it you can drink before it gets boring. Iced coffee is a summer staple, but can you really drink it every day? We'd argue yes, but you totally shouldn't follow our lead on that one.
Sparkling watermelon juice is a nice way to shake up your summer beverage game without going for super-sugary soft drinks or buying another case of White Claws.
Speculoos Cookie Butter
/granite-web-prod/95/14/951468356e3b417095cc081822933383.jpeg)
There's literally nothing of nutritional value in Speculoos cookie butter, but who cares? It's made of cookies crushed into a thick, cinnamon and ginger flavored spread, and it's heavenly.
If crushed apples become apple sauce, cookie butter is basically cookie sauce. Spread it on toast or serve it as a dip with sliced apples.
For a particularly tasty treat, serve it on top of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
