That's because each star sign gravitates toward a certain personality trait. Can you imagine a carefree Sagittarius ordering an espresso martini? Don't be ridiculous. According to your horoscope sign, here's what cocktail drink we bet you're ordering — and if not, you should be.

Aries: Whiskey Sour

Aries dates: March 21-April 19

The adventurous Aries might normally go for novelty over a classic like the whiskey sour, but they can also appreciate the simplicity of a strong drink made right.

The combination of good whiskey, lemon juice, sugar and a dash of whipped egg white is bold enough for a confident Aries to order without feeling silly — and tasty enough to order again and again.

Taurus: Old Fashioned

Taurus dates: April 20-May 20

The practicality of Tauruses leads to a string of ordering the same drink on repeat. They know what they like, and tradition and stability are high up on their list of priorities.

A tried-and-true old fashioned is a top choice for this earth sign. It’s similar to the whiskey sour, only with bitters instead of lemon, and garnished with an orange slice and grated orange peel. Predictable, but a solid choice.

Gemini: Cosmopolitan

Gregarious Geminis have light, playful spirits, a perfect match for their drink of choice: the Cosmopolitan. The Cosmo has a reputation for being a “girly” drink, thanks to its bright pink coloration, but anyone can appreciate the bright notes of lime and tart cranberry with the powerful kick of vodka.

Geminis are usually too busy hitting the dance floor to sit down for drinks, but take a break for this one. Maybe they’ll even upgrade your moves.

Cancer: Sangria

Cancers aren’t the biggest bar-goers. They’re more likely to go for a quiet dinner spot with a nice selection of drinks than a club or dive bar.

A pitcher of sangria to share is a crowd pleaser for the table, and it’s just as easy to make at home. Stay in with friends and whip up a batch with dry red wine, brandy, sliced apples and oranges, OJ and brown sugar to taste. It's just right for the homebodies of the zodiac.

Leo: Manhattan

Leos are the epitome of confidence. They’re more likely to experiment with new drinks than most, like the life of the party they are.

Everyone needs a standard order for whenever you don’t have time to excitedly comb through the menu. For Leos, a Manhattan gets the job done. Whiskey, bitters and sweet vermouth make a drink strong enough to kick off creative conversations but smooth enough to have a second one.

Virgo: Espresso Martini

Ah, Virgos. The workaholics of the zodiac, Virgos always appreciate a drink that’ll keep them going and mellow them out at the same time. An espresso martini is practically perfect. This caffeinated cocktail is a mashup of a shot or two of smooth espresso, coffee liqueur and vodka.

Detail-oriented Virgos should really head home after grabbing Friday drinks with coworkers, but if they have a few loose ends to tie up back at the office, this cocktail offers the kick they need to keep killin’ it.

Libra: Bellini

Libra dates: Sept. 23-Oct. 22

Libras are gentle spirits. Instead of a night out, why not plan a brunch date? Order a fluffy plate of stuffed brioche French toast topped with fresh fruit but not before sipping a fresh Bellini.

It’s simple, peachy and perfect: just Prosecco and peach. That’s it. Refreshing, summery and not jarring or spicy whatsoever. Bottomless mimosas are a close second.

Scorpio: Mai Tai

Scorpio dates: Oct. 23-Nov. 21

Scorpios are bold and brassy, just like the brightly colored Mai Tai. This tropical concoction combines curaçao liqueur, orgeat syrup, lime juice and rum.

It’s like taking a vacation to the Bahamas without leaving the counter. Any passionate Scorpio is sure to love the fruity notes and fun color.

Sagittarius: Negroni

Sagittarius dates: Nov. 22-Dec. 21

The Negroni is an ideal drink for Sagittarius folks. They tend to like adventurous options, so the intensity of a Negroni is on par. The citrusy Campari and intensity of the gin, plus the biting taste of vermouth, is just adventurous enough for a Sagittarius.
