Thanks to reruns and streaming services, our favorite TV shows and movies are easily accessible. Some of the leading characters are still getting top bill in Hollywood today, but what about their younger castmates?
The babies and young kids that appeared alongside the likes of John Travolta and the cast of “Friends” might not be household names, but we want to know what happened to them — right? Did they catch the acting bug while they were still in diapers, or have they turned their back on the spotlight in favor of a more regular life?
Here are some of the most famous baby actors from the past few decades and what they’re up to now.
22. Michael Rizzi
What you know him from: “The Godfather"

What Happened to Michael
She’s best known as a director (she got an Oscar nomination for Best Director for “Lost in Translation”), but Sofia Coppola has appeared in many hit movies. She actually played three different characters in “The Godfather” franchise (which was directed by her dad, Francis Ford Coppola), the first of which was a baby boy in the first instalment.
The younger son of Connie Corleone and Carlo Rizzi and younger brother of Victor Rizzi, Michael was named after his uncle and godfather, Michael Corleone. He was called "Little Mike" by his family to distinguish between him and his uncle, and he chose not to go into the family business.

Aaron Smolinski was age 2 when he played the infant Clark Kent in “Superman.”

What Happened to Toby
Toby Froud played Toby in Jim Henson’s classic “Labyrinth,” the baby stolen by Jareth the Goblin King (David Bowie) from his sister Sarah. In real life, the infant’s father was Brian Froud, who was the conceptual designer and costume designer on the movie.
Young Toby followed in his dad’s footsteps and now works as a special effects designer, puppeteer, filmmaker and performer. The projects he’s worked on include “BoxTrolls,” “ParaNorman,” and “Kubo and the Two Strings.”

What Happened to Nathan Jr.
T.J. Kuhn was a toddler when he played the kidnapped baby Nathan Jr. in the Coen brothers’ hit movie “Raising Arizona.”
He later appeared in a few commercials but ultimately walked away from film. He is now a real estate agent in — believe it or not — Phoenix, Arizona, according to TMZ.

What Happened to Mary
Mary from “Three Men and a Baby,” aka the infant who is mistaken for a package of cocaine, was played by identical twins Michelle and Lisa Blair. On screen, Mary had three men (Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson) fall in love with her.
Off screen, only one of the twins continued to act (Lisa played young Sarah in 1999’s “Morella”). But today they have careers far removed from Hollywood — Lisa works in customer service, and Michelle works in the insurance industry, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to TODAY, Kristina and Michelle are both now teachers based in the Hamptons. When they were in college, they surprised Keaton at a book signing in Southampton, New York. “We were just smiling, and she kind of put it together,” said Michelle. “And so when she realized, she got up and gave us a big hug and it was exciting."

A trained singer, actor and dancer, Haines still works in show business and has popped up in numerous TV ads as well as season two of “One Tree Hill.” You might also see him working at Walt Disney World.

One of the most iconic babies in the world didn’t appear in a hit TV show or a blockbuster movie. You might not know his name, but if you’re a music fan, you’ve probably looked at Spencer Elden at least once in the last 30 years.
He was the naked baby reaching for a dollar bill in a pool on the cover of “Nevermind,” Nirvana’s iconic 1991 album. According to NPR, Elden’s parents were paid $200 for the shoot. In August 2021, the now 30-year-old announced that he was suing the band members for sexual exploitation.

According to Entertainment Weekly, casting director Renee Rousselot searched over 1,000 small children for the right ones to play Adam. On set, one twin would act in the morning while the other was eating lunch or napping.

Like many TV tots, the character of Ben in “Friends” was played by numerous child actors. Ross and Carol’s son, who was born toward the end of season one, was initially played by Michael Gunderson, followed by twin toddlers Charles Thomas Allen and John Christopher Allen.
But the most memorable Ben was portrayed by Cole Sprouse, appearing in seven episodes in seasons six through eight. Sprouse’s acting career continued after the show ended — he went on to appear in “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” (alongside his twin Dylan) and “Riverdale” on Netflix.
