Year released: 2023
As you'll see from this list, Pascal is often cast as a protector of children, and "The Last of Us" is his most recent example of this dynamic. The series follows two survivors, Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Bella), as they travel across a post-apocalyptic landscape in search of a vaccine after a fungus infects most of humanity, turning them into zombie-like creatures.
It's probably the best video-game-to-film adaptation yet, and Pascal's performance is a big reason for that.

Year released: 2011
"Game of Thrones" is the show that really put Pascal on the map. He played colorful and sexy Oberyn Martell, a member of the House Martell, one of the Great Houses of Westeros. Prince Oberyn was renowned for his sharp wit, fighting skills, fluid sexuality and lust for revenge.
That vengefulness ultimately did him in, however, as he died in combat against Gregor Clegane ("The Mountain"). Even when it appeared he had the upper hand in the fight, Martell failed to finish his competitor off, instead choosing to taunt him into confessing to his crimes. When he got too close, Clegane crushed his skull with his bare hands, killing Martell instantly in quite the dramatic scene, even by GoT standards.

The movie plot follows the surviving members of the Kingsman organization as they join forces with their American counterparts, the Statesman, to take on a new threat. Agent Whiskey, played by Pascal, is a Statesman.
Whiskey is initially helpful to the Kingsman agents and becomes a mentor to Eggsy, teaching him how to use the "lasso of truth." However, he is a double agent, working the film's main villain. While this is out of revenge for the loss of his wife and child, in the end, he dies by his own lasso.
